\nInclude the unit identifier on captured media and survey notes where the site procedure requires traceability. Keep the operating-area record with the unit rather than relying on a catalogue name shared by several devices.
\nDocument the pre-use check and any exception before the first survey observation. If the unit changes during the hire, begin a separate traceability entry rather than carrying the earlier identifier forward.
\nAttach that certification record to the same unit through collection, pre-use check and return. The short survey closes on traceability between the hired unit and its documents, not on a generic model description.
\nThe return record should preserve the same identity. If a label became obscured, a document was replaced or a restriction affected use, note the change against the survey leg concerned. Do not merge observations from two units under one model heading simply because both cases carried the same product name.
