The Kamstrup Multical 801 Heat and Cooling Sub Energy Meter is a robust and rugged thermal energy calculator used in the sub metering of Thermal Energy. It is ideal for large commercial and domestic buildings and industries as it has many communication possibilities, programmable functions and a wide range of other modules. The MULTICAL® 801 is used for measurement in all water based plants with flow temperatures from 2 °C to 180 °C and with all flows between 0.6 m³/h and 30,000 m³/h.


The meter is easy to use and simple to install, read and verify and in addition contributes to keeping the annual operating costs at a minimum with its unique combination of high measuring accuracy and long lifetime. When the MULTICAL® 801 is connected to flow meters installed on both the inlet and outlet pipes, the meter can monitor leaks and bursts in the system, particularly at off peak times

The energy calculation includes temperature measurements in inlet and outlet as well as correction for density and heat content according to the European standard EN 1434.
