Mobius™ has the growth path to master condition monitoring

Mobius Institute™ provides training that equips technicians, analysts and CBM leaders with the necessary skills so they can confidently perform their critical roles.

Understanding how the equipment works, how they fail, how the symptoms of failure change over time and how to correctly take the required measurements, requires detailed knowledge of the equipment and the instrumentation. Mobius Institute is recognised as the leaders in this form of training. They provide simulations that explain how the machinery and instrumentation work and animations that enable you to visualise exactly what is going on.

No guesswork, no trying to remember complex concepts and techniques, we educate you so that you understand.

Asset Reliability Practitioner A-L

Many organisations treat reliability improvement as a purely technical problem. As a result, leaders often believe their role is simply to support the technical team.

This is one of the biggest reasons reliability programs fail.

This course isn’t about managing a technical project.
It’s about leading a sustained, high‑performance reliability initiative that boosts uptime, reduces waste and creates long‑lasting organisational change.

What Successful Leaders Do

  • Understand what “value” means for their organization and deliver it consistently
  • Drive cultural change, building enthusiasm and long‑term engagement across the workforce
  • Set a clear, resilient strategy that avoids common pitfalls and keeps the program on track
  • Create momentum that maintains improvement over time

This course will show you exactly how to lead that transformation, with clarity, confidence and measurable results.

VCAT-I Vibration Analysis Category I

This is the place to start your vibration analysis career. You will learn all of the essentials so that you can contribute to the vibration analysis program:

  • An introduction to condition monitoring and reliability improvement
  • The fundamentals of vibration
  • How to collect quality data
  • An introduction to vibration analysis and common fault conditions

After this course, vibration analysis will make much more sense.

The training and accredited certification follow ISO 18436-2 and ISO/IEC 17024.

Field Lubrication Training & Certification

After this course, you can move away from outdated methods of vague, non-specific lubrication procedures and job plans and assist with implementing an effective lubrication program in any industrial workplace. In brief, you will learn:

  • The impact that best-in-class lubrication practices can have on machine health and reliability.
  • How to manage lubricant delivery, storage and dispensation
  • How to properly change and/or top up the oil in mechanical equipment found in common industrial sites
  • How to use simple techniques to select lubricants with the proper base oil and additive system for machines commonly found in industrial settings
  • How to use simple techniques to select grease application methods (including automated delivery) that are least intrusive and most effective for machines commonly found in industrial settings
  • How to use simple techniques to estimate re-grease volumes and intervals for machines commonly operated in industrial settings
  • How to properly maintain automatic lubrication systems (auto-grease, mist systems, etc.)
  • How to employ basic oil analysis techniques to identify and troubleshoot abnormal lubricant degradation conditions and use simple techniques to adjust the lubricant specification accordingly

The course is filled with 3D animations and interactive simulations that make the subject very easy to understand.

The training and accredited certification follow ISO 18436-4 and ISO/IEC 17024.

Infrared Thermography Training & Certification

Learn the fundamentals of infrared energy and the camera, along with the most common applications. In brief, you will learn:

  • Why we perform condition monitoring
  • All about heat vs. temperature and temperature scales
  • The laws of thermodynamics
  • How thermal conductivity occurs in different materials
  • The difference between thermal conductivity and specific heat capacity
  • Real-life examples of conductive heat transfer
  • How to acquire data and process images
  • The concept of “comparative temperature measurements”
  • How to distinguish between active and passive thermography

The course is filled with case studies, animations and simulations that make the subject very easy to understand.

The training and accredited certification follow ISO 18436-7 and ISO/IEC 17024.
